Force Free Dog Training by Onlead

As a Force Free Dog trainer, I feel privileged to have the opportunity to meet and work with a great variety of dogs and explore their world with love and compassion.

I am deeply passionate about the well-being of all Dogs and enriching their lives through the understanding and ethical application of Positive Reinforcement and behaviour modification.

Happy Dogs and Happy Owners.

Great advances in Behavioural Science has proven that Positive Force Free methods are not only very effective, but are also the most successful way of training any Canine, animal, or even us humans.

The beauty of Positive training is that it works.

It also gives you both the ability to communicate on a higher level.

Reward-based techniques focus on creating a greater bond between Dog and Handler with mutual respect.

Having private in-home lessons and a personal training program specifically designed to meet your companion’s needs.

Force Free - puppy in training

Thanks to years of scientific study, Force Free training promotes learning, builds a stronger relationship and confidence, which is also fun for all involved.

My aim is to educate the owners/family about their dog’s potential and intelligence and give you the help and support needed to produce a well-mannered dog that you can be proud of.

What my clients say

My Son and his fiancé have special needs and all they wanted was a puppy. They welcomed 9mth old Daisy into their lives and whilst they loved her dearly she was a handful for them.

Paula was recommended to me by our dog groomer and after a few private visits in the quiet environment of their own home, Mark and Tammika were confident enough to attend a local dog training centre.

Paula thought this would help Daisy with her social skills as they work towards her becoming a registered companion dog. She was so patient and calm with parents and puppy and had so many fun & inexpensive ideas for them.

Daisy is now 2yrs & 3 months and is already in Level 3 Intermediate skills.

Thank you so much, Paula, for giving Mark & Tammika the skills and confidence to get little Daisy to where she is today.

They are just a beautiful family now with a much calmer and loving fur baby.

Paula was brilliant with myself and my Golden Retriever Hugo.  Hugo is my first dog that I own, and I was so worried that I was going to get it all wrong.  Paula was excellent at explaining how to train my dog and interact with him.  I have had several issues recently and Paula was approachable and responded very quickly, she offered valuable advice and practical solutions.  Hugo is responding well and I would highly recommend Paula’s services to anyone who has a dog young or old.  Hugo loves Paula.

Paula knew our beautiful dog, Fender, for the entirety of his 13 years with us.

She provided guidance on training and behavioural issues throughout that time. I recall when Fender was quite young; Paula noticed a subtle change in his behaviour and acting on her advice we got to the Vet in time to prevent major surgery.

Her knowledge, care and support also helped us make the correct decision when his pain took quality of life from him.

Paula assisted a friend who, due to a terminal illness, had lost her ability of speech and was unable to give voice commands to her very active border collie. Paula taught them both to give and respond to ‘clicker’ commands. It was a moving experience to watch my friend still be able to communicate with her dog.

Paula has a wonderful way about her and how she works with the dogs. We have two German Shepards. One is a beautifully mannered female, an ex-show champion who is very easy to manage. The other one, a boy, Sagan, is huge! He has a big heart and an even bigger personality. When Sagan was a puppy he did all the puppy things and Paula worked with us by providing strategies that worked. Actually, Paula trained us! She helped us understand how and when to reward and to provide lots of positive reinforcement. At almost 4 he is one of the biggest Shepards I’ve ever seen. He has the best personality and even though he likes to be the centre of attention we adore him and manage him well. I don’t think we could have done it without Paula. Thank you.
