Paula

Welcome,

My name is Paula and all my life I have had a strong connection with animals, particularly dogs.  Dogs are incredibly intelligent, loyal and their positive attitude and compassion is infectious.  There is nothing I enjoy more than seeing my dog happy and enjoying life. I must confess, I also enjoy spending a night in on the couch with my dog “Kai” & cat “Mishka”, who are always patiently waiting for me to finally sit down and relax.

My dog’s name is Kai and Kai changed my life. I adopted Kai after he was surrendered to a dog training centre when he was 4 months old.  Kai gave me the courage and incentive to follow my passion for caring, training, and a better understanding of dog and animal behaviour.

In 2013, after working for 30 years in the hairdressing and the service industry I decided to undertake further studies and completed a Certificate IV in Companion Animal Services with The Delta Institute.

The Delta Institute is the accrediting body for Positive Force Free, reward-based dog trainers.

Kai is a flat coat Retriever X Cocker Spaniel and is now 6 years old and a much-loved member of my family as well as my training partner.  Together we have undertaken a range of training activities and levels together, and he sometimes participates in classes, working with puppies, adolescent dogs, older dogs, shy, nervous and rescue dogs.  I provide training through Onlead Walk and Train classes and Onlead Private – In-Home consultations and training programs.

Onlead Walk and Train

Onlead Walk and Train classes offer owners and their dogs an enjoyable opportunity to work and train their dog based on their and their dog’s individual needs.  These sessions give the dogs mental and physical work-out and the opportunity to explore the environment, which is highly rewarding for dogs and builds a strong bond between dogs and their owners.

My aim is for you and your dog to enjoy training.

Onlead Private – In-Home Training

Onlead Private – In-Home Dog Training Private Consultations are provided for owners and their dogs who are experiencing unwanted behaviours or having difficulty in managing the care and welfare of their dog.

Programs are targeted to the specific needs and behavioural issues of that individual dog

In-home training programs are also designed for people who may be time-poor, work odd hours, cannot attend for various reasons or commit to weekly group training classes.
