Paula Dickerson
Hi there, I’m so glad you are here
My name is Paula and all my life I have had a strong connection with animals, particularly dogs. Dogs are incredibly intelligent, loyal and their positive attitude and compassion is infectious. There is nothing I enjoy more than seeing my dog happy and enjoying life. I must confess, I also enjoy spending a night in on the couch with my dog “Kai” & cat “Mishka”, who are always patiently waiting for me to finally sit down and relax.
My dog’s name is Kai and Kai changed my life. I adopted Kai after he was surrendered to a dog training centre when he was 4 months old. Kai gave me the courage and incentive to follow my passion for caring, training, and a better understanding of dog and animal behaviour.
In 2013, after working for 30 years in the hairdressing and the service industry I decided to undertake further studies and completed a Certificate IV in Companion Animal Services with The Delta Institute. The Delta Institute is the accrediting body for Positive Force Free, reward-based dog trainers.
Kai is a flat coat Retriever X Cocker Spaniel and is now 6 years old and a much-loved member of my family as well as my training partner. Together we have undertaken a range of training activities and levels together, and he sometimes participates in classes, working with puppies, adolescent dogs, older dogs, shy, nervous and rescue dogs.
I provide training through Onlead Walk and Train classes and Onlead Private – In-Home consultations and training programs.
